1. Who we are
PeekCam AI (the "App") is developed and published by Veysel Tekes ("we", "us", "our"), operating as TKS Apps. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it on macOS. If you have questions, contact us at developer@tksapps.com.
2. Camera & microphone access
PeekCam AI requires access to your camera (and optionally your microphone) to function as a webcam overlay. This access is granted by you through the standard macOS permission prompts and can be revoked at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Your camera and microphone streams are used only to render your live overlay on your own device.
- We do not record, upload, or transmit your camera or microphone feed.
- Your camera images are never shared with any third-party AI service or external server. AI background removal and face auto-tracking run entirely on-device using Apple's Vision framework.
3. Information we do not collect
The App does not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information to us. We do not maintain user accounts, and we do not require you to sign in to use the App. We run no servers that receive your video, and your content is not sent to any third-party AI provider. Any preferences, presets, and custom backgrounds you create are stored locally on your Mac.
4. Diagnostics & analytics
If you have enabled sharing of analytics and crash data with developers in your macOS settings, Apple may provide us with anonymized, aggregated diagnostic reports to help us improve stability. These reports do not contain your camera feed or personal content. You can disable this in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
5. Purchases & subscriptions
PeekCam AI Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription priced at $39 USD per year (shown in your local currency), including a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. It is processed entirely through the Apple App Store. All payment and billing information is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy — we never see or store your payment details. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled, and you can cancel anytime in System Settings → Subscriptions. Subscription status is validated on-device via Apple's StoreKit.
6. Third-party services
The App relies on Apple's operating system frameworks (including the Vision framework, AVFoundation, and StoreKit). Your use of these is also governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The App does not embed third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
7. Data retention
Because the App stores your settings locally, that data remains on your Mac until you delete the App or reset its preferences. Deleting the App removes its locally stored settings.
8. Children's privacy
PeekCam AI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Your rights
Since the App does not collect personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. You retain full control of all locally stored content and can remove it at any time.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
