Does PeekCam AI need a green screen?
No. AI background removal uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to separate you from your surroundings in real time — no green screen, no extra hardware required.
Does my video get uploaded anywhere?
Never. Every frame is processed locally on your Mac. Your camera and microphone feeds are not recorded, stored, or transmitted by us.
Which apps does the overlay work with?
The overlay floats above virtually any app — Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, OBS Studio, Keynote, QuickTime, Loom, and more. If you can see it on screen, PeekCam can sit on top of it.
What's included in the free trial?
The 3-day free trial unlocks the full PeekCam AI Pro experience: AI background removal, face auto-tracking, all preset and custom backgrounds, watermark removal, and unlimited presets. Cancel anytime before the trial ends in System Settings → Subscriptions.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open System Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions (or App Store → Subscriptions), select PeekCam AI, and choose Cancel. Your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period.
The camera overlay isn't showing up — what should I check?
Make sure PeekCam AI has camera permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera. If the overlay still doesn't appear, try quitting and reopening the App, and confirm no other app is exclusively using the camera.
Can I use my own background image?
Yes. In addition to the 8 premium presets, Pro lets you upload any custom image to use as your background, and save unlimited presets for quick switching.
